This project involved removing the existing roof and framing, building a new attic and 12 pitch roof with 3 dog-house dormers, framing a new 8 pitch roof over the existing cathedral ceiling above the garage, building a new second story master bedroom suite above the existing extension on the east side of the home. The home was finished with Hardi plank cement board siding and Azek trim, a maintenance free exterior wood trim substitute. Hardi Plank is a cement siding product. Hardi Plank will never rot and holds paint much better then traditional wood siding. We recommend the use of Hardi Plank where vinyl siding is either not an option, or where you anticipate changing the color of your home at some point in the future. The front porch features Brazilian walnut decking and a custom designed and built "Yankee" style integral gutter with downspouts hidden in the massive 16" columns by H.B & G. The flat roof is done in .060" EPDM commercial rubber roofing, 1 piece into and including the gutters. Windows are Andersen Tilt-Wash double hung with custom integral grills.
