One of the most common home improvement projects is the remodeling of the bathroom. The Typical Long Island bathroom remodel is usually a 5’ x 7’ There are many misleading advertisements out there regarding the renovation of this size bathroom.

Complete 5 x 7 bathroom renovation only $3,995

You can certainly remodel your bathroom for this price. The tub will be replaced with a steel unit (the kind that gives in the middle), the tile around the tub will become plastic panels and the floor will be linoleum. The toilet will be the typical $100 variety; you will get the cheapest cabinet (the knock down kind), the cheapest sink, the $79 medicine cabinet and the cheapest hardware possible. As a reputable contractor we don’t do this type of bathroom remodeling.

We at Home Tech Construction have thought about the least expensive way to remodel your bathroom. We assume every homeowner wants the highest quality installation at a reasonable price.

It is our opinion that Long Island bathroom products can be purchased by the homeowner who then would contract for labor only. There are bathroom and plumbing showrooms all over Long Island where the homeowner can pick and choose the bathroom products they prefer. You buy the products you want, we provide the labor.

Here are our proposals for the renovation of your typical 5 x 7 Long Island Bathroom.

$4,995 – This replaces the sheetrock in the tub area with moisture resistant board and includes installation of new tile around the tub (5’ high). It includes tub installation, toilet installation, vanity mirror (on the wall) installation, vanity installation, sink installation and faucet installations for sink and tub. It does not include new sheetrock for the rest of the bathroom and does not include a new floor.

$5,995 – This would include the installation of a tile floor. You buy the tile.

$6,995 – This is a total gut job.

$8,495 – This includes installation of tile on the rest of the walls up to 4’ high.
